hmm if there was one concerto i wouldn't mind spending 2 hundred thousand years learning (and that's provided that i even get to a stage where i can play a concerto), it would be chopin's 1st. just a personal favourite, really.

i wish they wouldn't spend so much time rehearsing a finale that isn't so much a combined finale but an item for 6 soloists with auxiliary manpower of around 400+. not disagreeing with the idea of the finale - though somehow i'm a bit puzzled by why certain parts are marked out for the choir to sing when clearly we aren't doing anything of that sort, but personally i thought it would have been nicer if they gave us more time to work with the acoustics, experiment a little and stuff. a quick run-through doesn't exactly help consolidate our performance standards in that environment, methinks. but well, it is the round-off of the entire calendar of events, after all.

i need to learn up the accompaniment of jazz mass. now. (of course, not literally now, but you get the idea.) plus that for 'voi che sapete'. since we're on the topic of mozart, i shall put it down here that mozart piano concertos suddenly sound rather appealing. but give me chopin any time, hahaha. (:

florestan and eusebius. i think schumann got it quite right. and no, i don't think this idea is schizophrenic in any sense. (but yes it does remind me of the feminist reader theory thing. and it gets quite creepy the more you delve into it.)

2 weeks to choir concert, approximately. i'm scared. (so i ought to buck up, a lot lot more.)

lives, writes, sings, plays the piano, and attempts to sound intellectual at times (conclusion: fails rather miserably).

loves music (almost strictly classical, hurhur & inclusive of faziolis!), literature (& also the sciences - no they are not in conflict), making hopelessly lame puns, laughter, white/milk chocolate, cheesecake, the world & the people in it. list not exhaustive, by the way.

wants the world to be filled with peace, joy and love, and also wants (perhaps a little more selfishly) to be happy, plus lead a life of purpose. that would be more than enough. (:

oh, and she likes embarking on her own 'free hugs!' campaigns after exams and the like; not really sure why. D: (at any rate, you can tell that she's random enough.)
